Pre-Examinations Stress *scream*
With this post in my blog, I include a crude image of my biggest fear... getting a D (ok.. in my case, it is getting a C, a D or worse, FAILING!!) in any of my subjects, especially in the stupid programming subject that I was forced to take this semester. Object-Oriented Programming Language... BAH... what in the world would I ever need that for anyway? *curse*
All I can do now is to cross my fingers and pray... REAL HARD!

Back Home!
When I was on the Penang Bridge, I felt a little flutter in my heart... I'm FINALLY in Penang!! *cheer* At the bus station, when I saw my mom and my aunt waiting for me (it was 1am!), I've almost forgotten everything that was in KL... Hehe.. Ok.. aside from the nagging thought that keeps telling me that I have an assignment due on Friday. I felt as though all troubles have been left in KL and there's nothing to worry about here...

To cry? Or to laugh??
The Proton Vendors Association wants AP holders to be barred from importing cars that are in the segments of markets that Proton is in. Its president Dr Wan Mohamed Wan Embong outlines what they want to be implemented in the National Automotive Policy. They hope the government will consider it.
This really sounds like a big joke doesn’t it? Ridiculous. Especially the last point. Do those rich people really think the rakyat is living a happy life rolling in cash? A lot of people have to suffer 7 to 9 year loans just to own the Proton Wira SE. You don’t have to talk about the Korean cars which is so-called cutting into your market segment. By the vehicle’s end of life, you would probably have just finished paying your loan! This will also destroy the second-hand car market.
Dr Wan Mohamed said Japan deregisters 5 million cars annually in it’s Vehicle End Of Life policy, where cars are chopped up and sold as half cuts for spare parts. These half cuts end up in Malaysia so that we can get quality Mitsubishi parts to replace the rubbish installed in our Proton cars when they fail us.
How can you compare with Japan? That place has a super efficient public transportation system. There, citizens have a choice whether to use a car or use the public transportation system. Here? Please, Dr Wan Mohamed. Go try taking the public transport system one day and you will change your mind.
The National Automotive Policy will be unveiled by the government in September. We will see whether the current government is concerned for the rakyat or is only interested in filling selected people’s coffers.

We Love... KEANE~!
Keane is one of the most talked about UK bands today. It is made up of Richard Hughes, Tim Rice-Oxley and Tom Chaplin. The first single I heard from them was "Somewhere Only We Know", but it didn't really get me hooked. When I heard "Everybody's Changing" over the airwaves... it was Hook, Line and Sinker! There's just something about the tune that makes you listen to it over and over again. The music style is somewhat similar to Coldplay's... So here are the cheers to Keane's "Everybody's Changing"~! \^_^/ *yay* that's beautiful music to the ears and food for the soul *wink*

The hardest word...
Well, let's think it through. How often do we say the words "I'm Sorry"?
When we are walking in a crowded area and a stranger accidentally steps on your foot. What are the chances that this person would take the time to turn around to say "I'm sorry I stepped on your foot, are you alright?" or something similar that amounts to an apology? Sure, in a case like this, sometimes, the person who stepped on your toe may express guinuine regret for the moment of pain that was wrongly inflicted on you.
Friendships are often wrought with misunderstandings and disagreements. Sometimes, tempers may flare when one is provoked but often, a grudging apology is uttered and all is forgotten. And sometimes, when this happens, we genuinely express our regret because we did not intend to hurt our friend's feelings. But often, the entire matter is shrugged off and life goes on...
Take an example that is closer to home. Your parents. In the span of growing up, how many times have you broken rules that your parents set? How many times have you answered back to them and broke their hearts? And did you ever take the time to reflect on everything that you have done and uttered a sincere apology to them? I am not talking about the "sorry"s that your parents made you say or the "sorry"s that you mutter in obligation or the "sorry"s that you retort with sarcasm. The "sorry" in question here is the one said with heartfelt remorse, contrite, guilt or shame. A "sorry" that is veracious and whole hearted.
Another perspective is close to the heart. In a relationship, arguments are virtually inevitable. In fact, a relationship without disagreements is pretty much unheard of. Well, "sorry" seems to be the hardest word to say, especially in a relationship. How many times have you raised your voice to your significant other and then just conveniently dismissed it without a proper apology? How many times have harsh words been exchanged without any "sorry"s being uttered? The lack of apology often leaves both parties with heavy grudges and lousy dispositions that can wreck the relationship. Why is it so difficult for us to comprehend that an apology is probably one of the most important elements needed to repair a damaged relationship?
*sigh* I guess everyone should have a slice of the humble pie when it comes to saying "I'm sorry". The worst thing is that it is easier to say sorry to a virtual stranger than it is to say the same words to the ones that we love. Why is that? Pride? Arrogance? I don't know... but what I do know is, I am going to give this a try and try my best to say that I am sorry when I have wronged someone. But it is going to take a lot of work and patience. To all that I love, be patient with me because this is going to take a little bit of time...
Maybe Elton John's right... SORRY does seem to be the hardest word after all...

Tribute to a dear friend...
Well... the person that I am talking about here is Melissa =) ahhh... old pal! How I've missed you so... Remember how we kept making arrangements to meet up when I was back in Penang and working in Bosch? Although we could hardly make the time but chatting with you almost EVERYDAY via email (thanks to Bosch's *ahem* facilities) make me feel as though we were back in our old crappy days *reminiscing* We'd talk about the most ridiculous things! *hehe* (only for us to know ya? *wink*)
Isn't it funny that our friendship is still holding on and going strong after so many years?! It's such a wonder that whenever I had a problem, you'd always be the first to know and you never judged me and you never looked at me through tainted glass. You'll always be the first to comfort me whenever there's a problem and however bad the situation, you'll find a way to make me laugh and in the end we'll be making a joke of it. You would always back me up, no matter what and never said a bad thing about me. And you know what? I would never ever do that to you either =)
We shared each other's passion for music, TV shows, cartoons, movies and many more stuff that are not appropriate to be publicly published (oh, as well as each other's morbid imagination!) and at the rate that we exchange sources for those (whoo-hoo...) *wink* hehehe... We even had our own version of Blessid Union of Soul's "Light In Your Eyes"... Remember? We wrote it during one immensely boring Add Maths tuition class. And you were always stingy with your singing voice but I'm glad I caught a snippet of your rendition of "I Drive Myself Crazy" =) And we'd listen to all sorts of Chinese songs without a clue of what the song is really about!
Remember our pact ya? I'll slap you silly if you ever lose the crappiness and I know for sure that you would do the same to me too *grin* Just wanted to let you know that I truly appreciate you and you are the most wonderful friend that anyone could ever ask for *hugs* love you lots... and miss you so very much...
We've known each other for the past 16 years;
We've been thru sunshine, rain, laughter and tears.
Fate threw us together when we were in standard one;
And up till today, our memories are a ton.
You've seen me at my worst, and at my very best;
We've done almost everything, sloughed thru a million tests.
We shared laughter in abundance, and lots of sadness too;
The times that I were down, you made sure I had a friend in you.
At times when the world shunned me and blocked me out;
You brought out the sun and chased away the clouds.
And now that we're almost adults; very much geographically apart;
We'll do little things, letting each other know what's in our hearts.
Any message or mail from you, will not fail to bring a smile to my face;
Because I know you'll always take the time, no matter how fast work's pace.
Though the years may go by, and we'll go our different ways;
But true to our friendship we'll remain, and forever close we would stay...
