It's been so long since I last posted anything here *Sheepish GriN* been bogged down with tests, quizzes, report deadlines and presentations.. Thank God that midterms are finally over and done with~!
Well, on Saturday, I had to take not one, but TWO midterm papers in the morning --> E-Commerce at 8am and Discrete Mathematics at 10:00am. I can't even deal with one paper per week and this week there are 3 papers! (oops.. forgot to mention that I had another paper on Friday which was Culture and Communiction) I wonder how I will fare *groan*
So anyways, came home and slept the day away after taking some soup that Chin Aun made *hugs* ~Thanks, dear~ when I finally woke up at 6pm (nite becomes day and day becomes nite eh? my inner clock is so screwed...) I went for a yummy dinner with my housemates as well as coursemates (Chin Aun couldn't make it cos he had to attend some company dinner). Chia Jiun drove so I followed her car there, and I am so ashamed to say that after going there 2 times already, I still can't remember the route *I have lousy sense of direction*
We went to this place in Sentul called Naili's Place =) I've been there before when my housemates treated me to a belated birthday dinner almost a month ago. It's around a 20 minutes drive away from where we are staying but I guess everyone actually goes there for the atmosphere =) It's kinda like a mamak stall... the size of 3 terrace houses! And the entire place is adorned with little fountains, trees, lights and leaves! There are leaves EVERYWHERE~! Some eating sections are made to look like little huts as well as a variety of others. We chose to sit in a little hut up in a tree and lucky for us, none of us fell down when ascending or descending the place *wink* The food isn't bad either but it is a little pricey... there were oriental and western dishes and some pretty special drinks too. We had a lovely dinner... there were 10 of us in total!
After dinner, we went off to The Curve to meet up with some other friends for a drink. We met up with Jin Chun, Victor and his other half, Samantha at The Curve. Victor and Jin Chun booked a table for us at SS and drinks were on them. Since I can't really take anything alcoholic, I refrained from taking anything else other than an immensely watered down tequila pop. I gotta hand it to Jiun and Boey though. They took pure shots of tequila and still managed to walk straight and Jiun could drive us home!!! *applause* While we were there chatting, there was a display of fireworks commemorating the Malaysia's Carnival Sale as well as some other function (some Malaysia's Book of Records thingie) and Jiun and I managed to snap some photos of it!~
We left after a while because Chin Aun promised to take me, Jiun and Boey to the Uptown Flea Market that only opens after 12am. We went there and it was so packed! We could hardly find a place to park and in the end, we had to park quite a distance away. We walked around looking at soft toys and I bought a miniature Winnie The Pooh as well as a Butterfly =) Jiun bought a really soft Snoopy pillow and Boey was unable to find anything that she particularly liked. Chin Aun just walked around with us and I think he was getting sleepier and sleepier by the minute! We finally went home at around 2-something and we all stank of sweat! *ewww* so, I had to take a bath at 3 in the morning and by the time I finished drying my hair, it was almost 4am! What a day... but I guess we all needed the time off to do all that after a gruelling month of midterms \^_^/
