"Tinkerbell"

Day 3 and it's starting to feel a little sore... I am concious of it when I sleep at night and I try my best not to exert any pressure on it! =D oh.. and I like it more with every passing minute...

Y'know... I like it so much that I am actually using my digital camera to take photos of it instead of my phone cos it'll look nicer! =D haha... all this from a person who's always been to lazy to use the digicam...

It's got a name... and there's no guessing what it is... hmmph..
Tinkerbell?! Does it look anything like Tinkerbell!?!
I didn't name it Tink... my friends did. Bah! Even though I told them to stop calling me Tinkerbell and stop referring to it as Tinkerbell, but does anyone listen??? Nooooo...

------------------------------------------------
Some comments:

"You've got a tattoo!! And it looks like that fairy in Peter Pan. What's her name???"

"OMG!! U've got Tink on your back!"

"Hi Tinky..." <--- whaaaaa?! Since when did I become Tink?!

"Can I see the Tinkerbell on your back?"

"I don't know how to describe your tattoo to my bf, so I told him it looks like Tinkerbell with butterfly wings!"

------------------------------------------------

And the top 2 worst comments/suggestions... from the same horrible person... (no guessing who)

Suggestion #1
Zeeks : "Poor Tinky looks bored and lonely all by herself... Why don't you get a little modification done?"
Me : "What kinda modification?"
Zeeks : *snaps fingers* "Get a tattoo of the devil humping Tinkerbell!!!"
Me : "You idiot!!!"
Zeeks : "THAT would be soooooo cool!"

Suggestion #2 (via text messaging)
*out of nowhere on an otherwise nice Friday afternoon*
Zeeks : "u know, instead of the devil, I think it's more cool to have Peter Pan or Pinnochio screwing Tinkerbell.. I mean, it's MORE Disney! :) "
Me : *I'll give u a good hard kick in the groin and stomp on your feet till your toes break*
Zeeks : "ok!!!! I'll pay for it!!!"

------------------------------------------------

I give up...
After a few hours, I actually started answering to the name "Tinkerbell"...
Heck... I don't know, maybe I'm biased. But I don't think it look like Tink... Even if it does, it's not gonna stop me from loving it more every passing second!
*cheers to Tinky*

My Butterfly-Winged Fairy

My first Tattoo!!!

Nice not???? *grins*
I'll always remember the 22nd of February 2006!!!
I went to the Red Dragon Art Studio at Sungai Wang to get this done in the evening =) I saw the recommendation from Female Magazine and one of my classmates, Kareen, recommended this place to me too. Seems that her bf went there to get his done too.

Anyways, I actually wanted to get a tiny little tribal tattoo on my hand or on my wrist but when I went to the shop, the guy there advised against it. Cos it seems that if I do it there, then I won't be able to hide it when I want to. And the color would fade easier cos the skin there sheds easier. So I made my choice and stuck to it and here I am!! *wheeeeeeee*

I remember telling the tattoo artist, his name is Ming, this statement before he started. "if i cry, faint, scream or curse you.... I'm apologizing now in advance". Hee hee... he laughed... at that point I couldn't laugh anymre. I was too tense!

The worst moment was when I was waiting for the needle to touch my skin. I could hear the steady whirring of the needle and I was anticipating the first flash of pain. The feeling was indescribable! Gawd... it was worse than taking my exam.

BUT... the pain was surprsingly bearable! =) it felt kinda hot at the area where my tattoo was being done I could feel every single stroke the artist did. After a while, the pain was not really noticeable anymore. I know I gripped the chair and the pillow that the tattoo artist gave me so hard that my face turned white! Kareen was so freaked out cos she thought I was going to faint... hehehe..
.
and so here's my first tattoo... a butterfly-winged fairy on my lower right back... I love it! =) can't wait for it to heal...

I wonder if I'll ever get a second one? Hmmm... *winks*

And then there are sad songs...

I was doing some last minute cramming in the library for an upcoming test last week while being plugged into my iPod (don't ask me how I can study with music, because I can't without it!). And out of 1000 songs, my iPod chose to play this one song that I haven't heard in eons...

I heard he sang a lullaby
I heard he sang it from his heart
When I found out thought I would die
Because that lullaby was mine.
I heard he sealed it with a kiss
He gently kissed her cherry lips
I found that so hard to believe
Because his kiss belonged to me...
How could an angel break my heart
Why didn't he catch my falling star
I wish I didn't wish so hard
Maybe I wished our love apart
How could an angel break my heart..

nice song... but it's so sad! And because I haven't heard it in such a long time, I continued listening to the lyrics and ignoring my notes on the table...

I heard her face was white as rain
Soft as a rose that blooms in May
He keeps her picture in a frame
And when he sleeps he calls her name...
I wonder if she makes him smile
The way he used to smile at me
I hope she doesn't make him laugh
Because his laugh belongs to me

Toni Braxton's "How Could An Angel Break My Heart". Damn sad right?! *sniff sniff* I guess I paid more attention the lyrics because the previous songs that my iPod rocked were Rage Against Machine's "Wake Up" and Green Day's "Hitchin' A Ride". Gawd... Sad songs are so distressing! But yet sad songs sometimes make the best songs! That's irony for you! haha...
That's not the end... THEN my iPod decided to play another sad song - which by the way, totally made me forget about the notes that were still on the table.

You can hardly wait to tell all your friends how his kisses taste sweet like wine
And how he always makes your heart skip a beat everytime he walks by
And if you're feeling down, he'll pick you up
He'll hold you close when you're making love
He's everything you've been dreaming of
Oh baby...
I wish you'd look at me that way
Your beautiul eyes looking deep into mine
Telling me more than any words could say
But you don't even know I'm alive
Cos baby to you, all I am,
Is the invisible man...

98 Degrees' "Invisible Man"! Wahlau... At this point, I start to wonder where people get the ideas for their songs... Past experiences?!
Wanting to get on with my reading, I skipped to the next song and by-golly, it's ANOTHER 98 Degree's song! And it's "The Hardest Thing" (please note that my iPod is on shuffle mode!)

It's the hardest thing I'll ever have to do
To look you in the eye and tell you I don't love you
It's the hardest thing I'll ever have to lie
To show no emotion when you start to cry
I can't let you see what you mean to me
When my hands are tied and my heart's not free
(We're not meant to be)
It's the hardest thing I'll ever have to do
To turn around and walk away
Pretending I don't love you...

At this point, I was almost certain that my iPod's out to get me. I want to turn it off and continue studying but the songs are sooooooo SAD! *damn* The next song my iPod chose to play MADE me certain that I wasn't meant to be studying last minute for test because of all the other 997 songs, it chose Toni Braxton's "Un-break My Heart".

Un-break my heart
Say you love me again
Un-do this hurt that you caused
When you walked out the door
And walked out of my life
Un-cry these tears
I cried so many nights...
Un-break my heart

Freaky coincidence ain't it!? Of all songs to choose, two are by Toni Braxton's and the other two are by 98 Degrees! and THEY ARE ALL SAD!!! and not just "awww... so sad one ar" but "oh gawd.. hand-me-a-tissue-cos-my-heart-is-breaking-into-a-trillion-pieces sad".

Sad songs almost always make the best songs... I wonder why... Could it be because they are so heart-wrenching? Or because there's a sad song for almost everyone out there? One could be singing about how some fella's heart got broken by an unfeeling girl while another song could be about a love that wasn't meant to be. I don't even want to mention Jay Chou's songs! I may not understand mandarin but ANYONE can hear from the tear-jerking tunes that his songs are mostly about heartbreaks. Some popular ones:
(Tornado) dunno chinese title = Love being like a tornado-hitting you and leaving you when you are most unprepared for it
(An Jing) = Something about him being able to let the girl he loves to go with some other guy only because he loves her too much
(Kai Bu Liao Kou) = This is the one about him being unable to express his love to some girl he fancies and how tormented he is when she is not around
(Jie Kou) = Him beseeching the love of his life not to leave him on the pretext that he has hurt her too badly
and my CURRENT FAV...
(Feng) = Something about a lapsed loving tenderness that has been locked by time and all that is left are just the pain and the sorrow <-- I like this one cos it sounds so "deep"! hahahaa... Maybe all these propelled Ne-Yo's new single "So Sick of Love Songs". But do you categorize these as "Love Songs" or "Gut-Wreching-Heart-Breaking Songs"?? *ponder ponder*

And that was the story of how I stopped cramming for my test an hour before I was supposed to take it. I figured the results will be out next week and if I get a bad grade, I'm biting my iPod and never bringing it to the library when I need to study again.

Valentine's Day 2006

It's that lovey-dovey, weak-in-the-knees time of the year again...
*ahem*
But the preparation for V-Day started waaay before that..

A Week Ago - My Room
Chin Aun and I were just mucking around at home during the weekend and so, being the thick-skinned person that I am, the following conversation took place:
SY : Bie ar...
CA : Hmmm???
SY : *face lighting up* I know what I want for Valentine's Day
CA : Uh... *guard goes up* what?
SY : I am magnanimous, I give you two options...
CA : Uh oh... *guard goes even higher up*
At this point, he gave me a wary look... I ignored him.
CA : Ok.. let's hear it
SY : First option, you can go and pierce your ear for me!!~ *stupid grin on my face*
CA : Let's hear option number 2
SY : tsk... you can give me money to get my tattoo done and then lend me your arm to bite on when I am getting it done
*silence*
SY : Well!?!?!?
CA : Wah... so late liao. Let's go eat dinner and we'll discuss this later

*dinner at SS2 and we decided to take a walk around SS2 to walk off our meal. Then I told him that I want to go to the optical shops there to check out some shades and colored contacts*

CA : You really want colored contacts ar?
SY : Yups! *nodding my head for emphasis*
CA : Why?? You don't even wear glasses!!
SY : Why not?! I syok lar...
CA : Oklor... let's go check out the prices and stuff...

*so we went... to a few shops and finally at one certain shop, there's this nice guy (Mr. Yeow, I think that's his name anyway) who even let me try on all the different colors available and taught me how to wear it and take it off. At this point, Chin Aun was also getting pretty into it already*

CA : So you want ar? Want then mar buy lor...
SY : Let me think first leh...
CA : Aiyah... just take it lar. Since we're here and you've already tried it on and everything
SY : Want ar? Abo we go other place check out price also lar??
CA : Just take it lar...

*He took 2 boxes (different colors) and paid for them*

SY : Later go back only I pay you back okie?
CA : No need lar... I buy for you
SY : Dowan lah! I pay you back
CA : Never mind lar. As long as you like it. Do you like it?
SY : Of course I do...
CA : Then I buy for you. Happy Valentine's Day!!~
SA : Thank Yo.... Whaaaaa??????

*scream*

I've been CHEATED!!!! Argh!!! No piercings. No tattoos!!! Grrrr.... Cheated cheated cheated!! How could I have been so dumb?!
Note: following photo kinda freaky looking...

But I really do love them :p hehehe... I'm so pleased with them so I'm gonna let the subject drop until May or June (my b'day!!) comes.. heh heh... he's not getting off that easy...

*********************************************

Saturday (the day before the 15th Day of CNY) - DAY
Meeting with Zeeks! He's supposed to accompany me to go buy ChinAun's present and I'm supposed to accompany him to look for the Puteri Gunung Ledang Musical tickets.
Note: explicit content

*calling me one the phone at 12:45pm*
Zeeks: Oi! Can you please bring your royal self down here?? I'm downstairs already!
Me : Okok! Sheesh

*in the car*
Me : Damn you lar... Make me rush and now my mascara's all clumpy
Zeeks : *gives me a condescending look* Fren... today is Thaipusam. Looking at your clothes and that dot on your forehead, I think you know it too. Thaipusam is a pure and holy day. *his voice taking on a boring drone* A day to love and cherish and appreciate the people around you. Therefore, on this pure and holy day, we shall not curse each other
Me : *snorts* Fine... see if you can tahan!
Zeeks : I'm glad we've reached an understanding. So where the hell are the stuff I asked you to print out for me?!

*bengang!!!* ---> look who's cursing now...

then he proceeded to curse the people and organization selling the Puteri Gunung Ledang tickets cos it seems that he's been trying to reach them for the past few days, to no avail.
So anyways, we went to Lot10 cos it seems that the tickets are also for sale at the customer service counter there. But when we reached, we found out that the tickets ARE NOT available there as well!! hohoho...
Then since we were hungry, we ate at DeliFrance... courtesy of him! hahahaha... (forcibly, I might add) but I did pay for the loaf of bread that he ordered in the end!!!
Anyways... he couldn't get the tickets and he was taking out all his anger and frustration on me with statements like:

"Cis.. smsing me at the unearthly hour of 8:30am! I knew it wasn't good! And now I gotta spend my entire saturday with you"

"Because of you we have to go Lot10 and now have to go back MidValley!!! All because of you!!!!" <--- I assure everyone who's reading this that it was HIS idea to go Lot10!
I couldn't be bothered and just continued ignoring him. Well, if you've known him for as long as I have, you'll master the skill of selective hearing too :p
Then I made him help me look for new mascara. And we were choosing and choosing and choosing... Fiber? Volume? Extensible? Waterproof? He was getting frustrated! and he continues shooting me...
"Shit lar you.. Why so damn 'ai sui' one???"

Anyways, after that, we went to Midvalley to look for ChinAun's present and we found the perfect gift for him!! Of course, along the way, I had to drag Zeeks to numerous shops selling time pieces and he had to try on dozens so that I can see which really looks good and etc. He also had to try on some "masculine" fragrances to see if there's any that ChinAun would like. Although I was really thankful and appreciative (Zeeks, if you are reading this, I give you permission to puke), he still kept hurling statements (refer to the following) at me:

"You! Make me 'gian' only.. damn lar. Me me try this and that and now I also want to buy! And nothing from you at all!! Not even a tiny token of appreciation... bla bla bla..."

"Show some appreciation!! Show how grateful you are for my help! Buy me something!!!"
*I was in still selective hearing mode*

As we were leaving MidValley... we came across the magic words:

"FURTHER MARKDOWN"
in ZARA!!! *drools*
So we made a little detour and we browsed in there. Clothes! Clothes! and more Clothes!! He went his way and I went mine :p and after 20mins of browsing, we met up again and he cursed me again!

"You lah! Go Zara for what!? And now I saw a few more tops that I like and want to buy"
Whaaaaaaaaa? Salah saya lagi-ke?? hahahaha...
Actually I saw a couple pair of jeans that I liked too... but cannot!!! Financial constraints!
Of course, there is more to us meeting up than just letting him curse me. I was an active participant too *lols* Our conversations are ALWAYS interesting...

-Interesting conversation 1-
Zeeks : You know... after uni/graduation.. most of the girls are already attached
Me : Yea?? Like who??
Zeeks : Take for example.. XXX (some girl from Form 6). She's got a bf already. But her bf also sama jenis like her lar...
Me : And.... ?
Zeeks : but leh... there are still a few that hasn't found a good catch. Girls and guys different lar. Guys can afford to settle down late. Girls cannot...
*his 'aunty' behaviour is slowly surfacing...*
Me : uh huh... and...?
Zeeks : Take EEE and FFF for example, they are still single and GGG too... Y'see, actually, GGG is pretty cool and she's really fun to be with and all that but...
Me : But what??
Zeeks : She needs to beautify herself a little
Me : And... your point is...????
Zeeks : Therefore SoonYee, physical beauty is IMPORTANT!!!
*faint*
Zeeks : You think if a guy tells you that he doesn't mind if you are ugly or etc, he's telling the truth!? He's bullshitting lar! How also must be at least a little bit outwardly appealing!!
Me : What are you trying to tell me??
Zeeks : LOOKS ARE IMPORTANT!!!! and I think ChinAun is blind...
Me : @%&#&amp;amp;(*&#$%&^%*

-Interesting conversation 2-
Zeeks : What you are doing to me is really unfair..
Me : What am I doing to you???
Zeeks : You're making me spend my Saturday with you when I should be out with some hot girl!!
Me : I very 'sat lai' you issit???
Zeeks : You're ruining my chances! What if some chick notices me and thinks I'm with you???? I'm gonna call you 'aunty' or 'mommy' so people won't misunderstand... ok? mummy!
Me : Screw you
Zeeks : aunty!! What you want to buy??
Me : Shut the *&%# up
Zeeks : Mommy, wanna buy this?
Me : I'm going to do something that will make sure that no one will ever misunderstand... ok?
Zeeks : OK!!!
*showed him 2 fingers - one from each hand... no guessing which finger eh?*

Photos of Zeeks the "hottie" (or so he claims...)

"hey, make sure take a more 'yeng' photo ok?? Delete the other ones!! Don't look nice lar!! Not 'yeng' ones don't put it up in your blog!!" - Poser!!

"Damn worth it! RM4 can last me the whole day lar!! DeliFrance bread's the best!!!" - Cheapskate!!

Then he showed me his Gucci wallet which he purchased almost two years ago at the insane price of RM550...

see the red circles??? Inside those circles, there are two rectangle-shaped holes and there used to be a strand of elastic-thingie in the Gucci colors of red and green there. It's used to wrap around the wallet by dear-old-Zeeks cut if off cos it was losing elasticity!! The reason why he's even showing it to me is because (I quote him) "shit lar.. cut off already only I realize that it doesn't look like a Gucci anymore. I need a new wallet!!!"
So that's Zeeks... my buddy for 9 long years. Although he's insane and he likes to insult me, but I guess that's what makes our frienship so interesting. Ironically, he's the best male-buddy that I've ever had! Haha... Hey ZEEK!! I KNOW you're reading this :p I know you sure terharu.. Cry lah! Or get me a RM500 voucher from Esprit :p

*********************************************

Saturday (the day before the 15th Day of CNY) - NIGHT
It's 12:00am!! "Chap Goh Meh"!!! Eastern Valentine!~
The night where nubile young single girls toss oranges into the sea/river/lake with hopes of an eligible bachelor of commendable standards would chance upon the orange thrown and they'll fall in love and live happily ever after....
Reality check: The only eligible bachelors who'll fish the oranges from the water would be either fishermen or those in charge of cleaning the water.
Therefore, I suggest that these ladies go throw the oranges at some expensive houses/apartments or some uptown office lots.

Chia Jiun and Steven took both me and Aun Boey to "Thean Hou Gong" to check out the lights and because they wanted to offer some prayers. The place was packed!!! We parked at the foot of the hill and walked up!! WALKED!! I conquered the slope in my HEELS!! Wahlau...

*********************************************

14th Feb =)

Lookie my balloon!!! :) hehehe... Isn't it huge?!
he surpised me with this huge balloon when he came to pick me up

he bought this for me because he says that lately I have been under too much stress.. *teary eyed* The one on the left is the Body Shop African Spa Body Scrub and the one on the right is a bottle of Body Shop Massage Oil. The little spaceship shaped thingie is a palm massager for when I have to type and write too much *sniff sniff* Make me so terharu... Thank you so much bie *muuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaks* Love you so so much...

Then he brought me to 1-U, supposed to have dinner at Italiannies but it was so packed!!! And the next available table is at 9pm so I told him that I could settle for McD's (i'm lovin it! haha) but he says we'll go either to Dome or Secret Recipe. In the end, we went to Secret Recipe and had quite a filling meal there. There wasn't enough tables there either but there was this couple who was nice enough to move in and gave one of their tables to us :) so sweet ya? bless them..

I love him and I love Starbucks' Raspberry Frappucino!

Posing with my balloon and a heart shaped candy courtesy of the barista at Starbucks!

Whose Line Is It Anyway?

--SATURDAYS-- --12:15AM-- --NTV7--

I absolutely LOVE this show!!! It's a combination of stand-up comedy and "game show". And this is what the host, Mr. Drew Carey himself, says: "
Welcome to "Whose Line Is It Anyway" the show where everything's made up and the points don't matter. That's right, the points are just like the plot line of a porno film. They just don't matter." *ROTL*
This is the best show... EVER!

The show consists of Florida's Wayne Brady, Canada's Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles and Drew Carey from The Drew Carey Show. Each week, the preceding four and a rotating group of actors and actresses spontaneously played games with outrageous scenes, weird quirks, or (sometimes off-) key songs. Sometimes, they are given weird props and have to make up situations using those props. The jokes can be pretty vulgar at times but it almost always gets censored so.. damn! I remember my sis and I used to watch it WITHOUT FAIL every Wednesday night (used to be aired on Wednesdays) and we'd laugh our heads off watching it. My fav from the show would be Colin, who is always the butt of Canadian and balding jokes! Hee hee..

Trust me... watch it once and you'll always be hooked.

Chinese New Year 2006

Words to describe my CNY:
HOT-HOT-HOT!!! (that would be the weather... love the season, hate the weather *ugh*)
RED (everything's either in red or adorned with red stuff... and I had to wear a red shirt on the first day of CNY when I went to Chin Aun's house :p)
LOVE (love is all around when you're at home!!)
FOOD (hohoho... this is an understatement... if only there was a word that could be used to describe the magnitude of it *grins*)
NEW CLOTHES & SHOES (yeah!!! the only time of the year when I can shop without feeling guilty!! I'm endorsed~!!)
MONEY (in little red packets.. one of the MAJOR reasons why CNY is so fabulous! Trying to collect as much as possible *winks*)
FUN (hehee... going back home is always fun, no matter when! I miss the good times already *sobs*)

I'm obviously too lazy and too tired to write much so I'll let the photos tell the story of my 2006 CNY:

*************************************************

REUNION DINNER =)

Photo 1: Reunion dinner at my house, my mom cooked EVERYTHING!!!

Photo 2: Reunion dinner at Chin Aun's house. Annual CNY steamboat *yeah!!*

*************************************************

CNY - DAY 1

Taking a photo after pai nian" with his parents. I'm wearing a RED top, can you see it?? *horror of horrors* hehe...

Our annual "mamak" dinner! Hehe... On the first day of CNY (every year w/o fail!) we would make sure that we eat at a mamak stall (just to make my mom uncomfortable *grins* cos she doesn't really know how to enjoy mamak food, so my dad makes it an annual thing!) Personally, I think my mom is getting the hang of it already!

*************************************************

Annual CNY Dinner at the Restaurant

Photo 1: Yee Sang! hehe

Photo 2: Dinner isn't complete without drinks and toasts!

Photo 3: Roasted Suckling Pig (I had to stop my dad from taking a piece cos I wanted the photo to look nice...) the reason why I don't have photos of the other dishes is because my dad dug right into it and I figured it wouldn't look nice to post the photos here :p

Photo 1: Me, Chin Aun and a really dear aunt :) (hmm? I'm weaing PINK!?)

Photo 2: Mom & Dad & Me!!!

*************************************************

CNY - 7th Day

Mom always says that the 7th day of CNY is everybody's birthday! *huh?* don't understand but if it's my birthday and I get to be treated like a queen, then why not?! *grins*

Photo 1: Mom says have to eat seafood and chicken porridge on "everybody's birthday". Why?! I don't know... as long as it tastes good :p

Photo 2: "Yee Sang" from Sushi King at Chin Aun's house... It's an annual thingie.. But this year, there was Red Wine!!

*************************************************

CNY - "Pai Tee Kong"

I don't "pai tee kong" but I do like the white sticky rice that Sally makes. I think it's called "biko".. But since I don't get to eat the one that she makes this year, my mom went to buy one for me! haha... Lookie!!

My dad showed no mercy... he just packed it all in! :p haha... (hhmmm?? what's Chin Aun doing behind him?? hehe)

*************************************************

Periodic Meeting with BeeSung

We generally don't do much when we meet except eat, take photos, talk, take photos, talk, take photos, talk (you get the idea...)

This time, Bee Sung actually took leave from work!! Woo-hoo!! and we went back to her office after work hours to pick Ah Lee up :p Sally refused to go on the rendezvous with us cos I think she thinks we are insane..

Ah Lee refuses to participate in the photo-taking.. phwek!

These are the typical (but decent!) photos that we often take...

Photo 1: oh kissy kissy *winks* That light behind us?? Someone's coming to arrest us, no doubt..

Photo 2: A warm loving embrace? Or a cover up for a squashy strangulation???

Hehe.. I'm glad I managed to at least meet up with her. Mel totally forgot about me cos she had to work, work & work :p so, that means I didn't get to meet Yee Leng too! :( hmmph...

*************************************************

CNY Festival In Georgetown

These are the photographs taken of the place. A couple of adjoining streets were closed up and the entire place was decked in CNY deco! The whole place was separated into "villages" (e.g. Canton Village, etc). There were foodstalls and stalls selling miscelleanous stuff and there were performances at every village. There was lion dance, chinese orchestra, singing, and I don't know what you call it but the people who would walk on stilts and balance a huge flag on their foreheads? It was so packed with people that I didn't manage to take much photos.

Some crazy photos that we took there while watching some guy singing on stage..

Photo 1: "and then there was light!!!" In this case, it's the lights from the performance :p

Photo 2: Chin Aun slurping up the rest of my Bubble Milk Tea when he thought I was too busy taking photos! Hmmph!! The little brown thing on the top right corner is a virtual hammer that I added. It's function is to knock his head.. :p

Photo 3: I'm TALLER than him!!! hahaha... with the help of a road divider of course!

Some photos taken at a coffee shop near the celebration:

BEEF SOUP MEE!! *drools* Won't be able to find food like this in lousy KL. I've been eating at this place ever since I was a kid and it's really good! It's located along Chulia Street, inside a coffeeshop =) I know it's not particularly descriptive but at least I tried, right?? Don't know road names very well :p

*************************************************

The Day I Came Back Here

*bleargh* But at least it started well... No, actually it started with me waking up at the unearthly hour of 7am. Then I walked around the house in my jammies, (bugging mom and dad of course!), before hogging the washroom for 20 mins :p

DIM SUM! DIM SUM!! At some coffee shop in Air Itam near the roundabout before the entrance to the tram-ride to Bukit Bendera. I like the elongated fish-ball wrapped in pandan leaves! And this is only the first serving :p

Photo 1: Dad packing it all in once again! I seem to have many photos of him eating :p

Photo 2: Mom with her reading glasses ready to "inspect" the dim sum :D

Photo 1: Aunt Carol taking her first spoonful of the century egg porridge

Photo 2: Chin Aun making tea!! "I know you're taking my photo though everyone else isn't aware but I'm going to ignore you!!"

Everyone's stuffed from breakfast...
Me: with a stupid contented smile :D
Mom - "I'm going to pretend that I don't see Chin Aun outside the car taking photos"
Dad - "Hey hey!! Can you see my face??"
Gee.. that's Chin Aun's reflection on the car window.. :p

The DOWN side of CNY
Aside from the fact that I had to go back to KL after spending a week back home, there's another issue that made CNY particularly painful (literally!) for me...
Ta-dah!!!

See the awful sunburn-rash that I had to live with for the entire 1 week that I was in Penang!? *gasp* It was so painful and irritating and it was peeling!!!! My mom was like "What happened to you!??!" (more work for her since she gotta apply medication on it everyday :p) I cried when my aunt sprayed some stuff on it! *malu-nya*
So what happened to me? *grins* I went to "Little India" (this little part of town that sells Indian stuff) one hot afternoon with Chin Aun and forgot both to put on sunblock and to bring my umbrealla. Phew.. But I did manage to buy 2 nice kurthies!! Yeah!!
Generally, the outcome of the trip to "Little India" = 2 kurthies, rash & sunburn and a week of pain and peeling... great huh? :D
Some ppl may be wondering what possessed me to post these two disgusting photos but I figured since I have to live with the pain, the rest of you can just be grossed out with it :p muahaha...
So that's MY 2006 CNY ;)
